Located in Harbour Island on a 3-mile stretch of beach known as Pink Sand Beach, Runaway Hill Inn sits elevated with breathtaking views of the ocean. The boutique hotel consists of 11 guest accommodations spread out between the Main House and detached cottages on 9.365 acres with lots of land for expansion and future development. It boasts 175 feet of beach, and the property has a sloping grade with a hilltop elevation of roughly 30 feet.

The Main House is a charming one and a half story building, roughly 75 years old, with 8 guest accommodations, 4 of which have ocean views. It is also where the hotel lobby, bar, and restaurant are located with incredible ocean views. Located just steps down from the Main House are the pool & tanning deck. Further down the staircase is the beach lined with lounge chairs, umbrellas, and various water toys. In addition to the Main House, the North Guest Cottage features 1 bedroom and 2 bathrooms with distant ocean views of the harbour complete with a full kitchen and living room. The South Guest Cottage features 2 separate guest suites, both with the same west facing ocean views overlooking the lawn. These 3 guest accommodations face west offer amazing sunset views.

Harbour Island is located just off the northeast coast of Eleuthera. It is three and a half miles long by one and a half miles wide. Resident population is roughly 2,000 persons. Dunmore Town in Harbour Island was the first capital of the Bahamas and is one of the oldest settlements in the nation. The settlement was founded over 300 years ago by Loyalists fleeing the American Revolution. Known for its picturesque pastel-colored buildings with colonial architecture and charm, many of the old wooden or clapboard houses with decorative fretwork date back to 1790.

Harbour Island or “Briland” as the locals call it, is one of the most popular resort islands in the Bahamas with a focus on boutique hotel developments. There are numerous restaurants, shops, bakeries, marinas, and night life on the island. Several marinas in the protected harbour offer full-service fuel and accommodations. And of course, there is the famous Pink Sand beach. Considered one of the prettiest beaches in the Caribbean and the world, Pink Sand Beach is a place to relax and recharge. The nearest airport is North Eleuthera International Airport offering daily flights to and from the US and other islands of the Bahamas.
